Slow run. It was hot and stifling. I was probably a bit tired from yesterday. I don’t know how I’m going to get in my long run next week. I may need to move it to a Monday. It all depends on on Mom but I will get it in. I know a trail that is similar to my next race.

The run was pretty good. It was 85 degrees at 6 and high humidity but I really wanted to run this outside and not use the treadmill. I divided the run into thirds. Each piece I tried a bit harder. The first 40 min were pretty steady paced. As I got tired, the pace vacillated. With 3 min left, my dog had to do her business. I stopped my watch but when it was time to start, it was tough to finish. The last third was faster by a few seconds. I walked for a few minutes to cool down.

Trail Run (Easy run w strides) 58:00 [4] 5.0 mi (11:36 / mi)

I did 55 min on trail. First 18 min, I had to carry a stick to clear spider webs. The next 2 loops went faster. The strides were on concrete and went well.

More warm running. My legs are a bit stiffer than I expected.
