Mountain bike ride (Mtn bike ride) 2:00:00 [4]

This was a fun ride. It was generally a downhill ride with 1000 ft of decent and 750 ft of climbing. 110 ft was on one hill early in the ride and I didn’t make it all the way to the top. We were at 8000 ft and I just don’t have that kind of lung power. I really had a great time though. I hope we get back out here to ride it again. One funny thing. I brought an old pair of shoes. I couldn’t remember why I quit wearing them but I remember know. When I switched to a 29er, the left cleat was stuck and I couldn’t move it to the right place. It sits to far forward. I clipped in and remembered in seconds. The position hurts my knee. The screws are stripped so Its permanent I could only clip in with the right leg. Makes for some interesting climbing.

I’ve been in Boise since Saturday and my mom is looking pretty good. We’ll have to work through a few things but I’m happy with how she’s doing.

I want to hear about the IMTUF race and your trip to McCall. Also, I’m jealous about the huckleberries. I did get some in July but there aren’t too many places to get them. In fact, my daughter had never had them until then.

Hot humid morning run. I forgot my watch and changed my plans because I knew that this trail is just over 90 min. I was a bit slow because of last nights run.

Mountain bike ride (Mtn bike ride) 55:00 [3]

I did a ride with my husband. I’d wanted a more casual ride but he wasn’t cutting me any slack. We did a fairly hard ride.

This was a pretty good run. The intervals were short so they were doable but my legs felt really stiff doing them. I need to work on stretching a bit.

Trail Run (Rolling recovery) 58:00 [4] 5.0 mi (11:36 / mi)

This run started slow due to the heat but ended up pretty good. I did the strides at about 50 min. There is a good spot for up to a 30 sec stride. I was finishing the section at 20 seconds. And I was able to keep up a good pace with easy effort until the end.
