Mountain bike ride (Rides) 2:30:00 [3]

I made it back home yesterday. Today is my birthday. What I wanted was to ride with my family. We spent hours at a local park. It has both a concrete trail (for the 2 youngest boys) and a mountain bike trail for the rest of us. We also made a stop at a bike store and got a new mountain bike for our oldest grandson. He’s so proud.
Unfortunately spending so much time in the heat wore me down and I didn’t do my TM hill run.

Concrete/road run tempo (Tempo) 50:00 [4] 4.75 mi (10:32 / mi)

This was a decent run. When I did the run I felt fairly consistent at 9:45 but when I looked at the data, my pace fluctuated.

Trail Run long (Long) 1:35:00 [4] 8.0 mi (11:52 / mi)

Found an opportunity to get in a long run after working and then taking care of my Mom. It was pretty warm but I’m acclimated to that. I only know one place close by and it was more flat than rolling.

Concrete/road run (Easy) 42:00 [3] 3.85 mi (10:55 / mi)

Still running my Moms neighborhood. Found a little better route but it is really boring here.

Took another trip on my bike to the store, that helped me break up the day.

Concrete/road run (Recovery) 1:01:00 [3] 5.25 mi (11:37 / mi)

Easy run around my Mom’s neighborhood. They have water access from a canal and they literally flood some streets. I need to avoid them. My shoes don’t dry before I need to use them again.

I don’t know how your wife can stand working from home. I can’t stand it. Yesterday and today I took off on my bike to the grocery store to get lunch and dinner. I didn’t know you could get cabin fever in 2 days.
