Sunday Oct 4 #

5 PM

Treadmill hills (Hill walk) 29:27 [3] 2.0 mi (14:43 / mi)

I wasn’t able to get the incline over 6%. And at 15 minutes, I had to drop to 3% and then work it back up. With that said, I usually can’t even wear shoes the day after a race so this wasn’t too bad.

Saturday Oct 3 #

7 AM

Trail Run race (Freddy yeti) 7:01:30 [4] 31.5 mi (13:23 / mi)

This beat the last virtual race by an hour. I’ll send an email with the details.

Thursday Oct 1 #

Trail Run (Recovery) 1:00:00 [3] 5.2 mi (11:32 / mi)

This was a really good run. Most of it was in the dark. I made it almost as far as if I’d done a hard effort.

Wednesday Sep 30 #

6 AM

Treadmill tempo (Flat progression) 1:00:00 [4] 5.5 mi (10:55 / mi)

Progression went well. The one minute portion always seems simple until I get to about 6 then it gets tough.

Monday Sep 28 #

Trail Run (Rolling plus strides) 55:00 [4] 4.75 mi (11:35 / mi)

I did strides early and they were fine but as I went on I had some chest pain. I’m sure it was just asthma and the rib but I decided to end early. Once I used the inhaler at my car, the pressure subsided and I was able to clear my lungs. I’m going to go back to a maintenance dose of Advil to reduce inflammation in my lungs.
