This was a partial trail, partial road run. And the trail is an old gravel road. It rolls a lot.

Trail Run long (Long hilly) 2:30:00 [4] 12.0 mi (12:30 / mi)

I should get credit for a back to back w this run. It actually went well. I walked about 3 minutes total. I started slow and was then able to get to a consistent effort and stride throughout within just a few minutes. I hit my turnaround early so I added 6 minutes of road. Even though I felt like I slowed, my time was the same as usual.
Between yesterday’s run, weight lifting and the hills, my legs got a good workout.

Definitely better than yesterday but not perfect. After the speed portion, I felt a bit sick and then completely done after the hills. I knew this was a long hard run and I did my best but I had to hold onto the TM at a few times.
I classified as a 5 because it took me hours to get to feel rested. That doesn’t happen very often.

Lower body and back. More playing with my new equipment. I’ve found a few really great ways to exercise my legs.

I quit the Combo run. I wasn’t feeling well. Everything was hurting in particular my ankles were so stiff. At 27 min, I felt I was going as fast as I could so I’ll try again tomorrow.

Weight training (Wts) 30:00 [3]

Upper body. I got my new equipment. It’s a resistance band set with a bar and a connection board. It’s body boss gym. My workout room is just a small bedroom and it has a treadmill, stationary bike, weight bench, rack of dumb bells, 2 small cabinets, handful of misc items and a large sewing cabinet. That leaves just a bit of room to move around. Once I get this organized, this should be a decent replacement for going to the gym. Our gym is bankrupt and closing lots of locations. So for now, this should work.

I started in the dark and turned off my light at 30 min. Running much better in the dark this morning. Once again I got much further than usual and the strides went excellent. At one point my dog started to chase an screach owl down the trail. She was literally digging dirt with her paws trying to get more traction because she was on a leash. Glad we didn’t catch it; it was huge.

This was an ok run. At 30 min, I had to turn on my headlight. I did fall yesterday and didn’t get hurt but didn’t want to chance it again. I’m just not seeing like I should and I miss trip hazards so I decided to cut off a short loop and finish early.
