Mountain bike ride (ride) 50:00 [4]
My husband and I were able to do a ride together. He starts off pushing the pace and makes me keep up. At about the half way point, he starts to wear down and lets me lead. This is a tight and twisty trail without any real hills, just some rollers. My handlebars are still a bit wide for me and those tree gates slow me down at times. Getting faster but I think the big improvement will come with I get shorter crank arms and get the handlebars shaved down another inch.
I don't have a fat tire bike, just the Epic, the Esker, a road bike, a commuter bike and a tandem. The Esker has chunky tires. They take much more effort to roll than the Epic which just seemed to want to go fast. Problem was that it didn't like the downhills. It took a lot of effort to keep it where I wanted it. It bounced around a lot. This bike doesn't have the speed but is more comfortable to ride.
