Saturday Apr 19

orienteering 1:43:00 [4]
AM - Red Bridge Ramble - trail run (start: Minor Park, KC). Spike & I ran with topo maps with the trails drawn in (downloaded from park website). Fun event in rain, hard rain and several stream crossings. Other runners had course maps without contour lines; those maps all melted (no mapcases). Trails were not well-marked and everyone else got lost. Several runners followed me - provided "I felt certain I knew what I was doing." I did OK leading a train of 7-8 runenrs, until near the end and missed a turn and, without a compass, headed back towards the far end of the course before meeting up with more lost runners. Dadgum, then relocated and headed back.
ET without the error could have been 1:20 - 1:25. Spike came in about 1:04. Lou Joline, KC Track Club member and the local running club's "court jester" organized the run. Something fun to do, from the organizer of the Brew-to-Brew Run..

right knee rotates out,
right leg longer than left,
stiff upper body,

no new info - thank goodness checkup was free.

Monday Apr 14

running 21:00 [1]
(rest day)
PM - 88 degrees, sunny, windy. Very tired. tight in chest (Roy just announced he's leaving).

Sunday Apr 13

orienteering 1:04:12 [5]
Landahl Park - Red Course.
biking (mtn bike) 45:00 [2]
After O' - rode bike trails - very tired. Trails are a good mix for me, technical on the rocky parts mostly within my skill level; and smooth dirt single tracks on many stretches. Need to come back when not so tired.
orienteering 1:04:20 [5] 5.8 km (11:06 / km)
9c
Landahl Park (PTOC) meet - red hot about 80 and sunny. a couple of bad route choices. Avoided the green as much as possible.
biking (mtn bike) 42:00 [2]
PM - bike trails at Landahl. Definitely tired after O'. Did intermediate level trails - rocky parts interesting and more likely to be successful tackling the challenges (hopping up on rocks). More smooth diirt stretches than Clinton SP.

Saturday Apr 12

biking (mtn bike) 1:16:00 [3]
AM - noon: biked on river trails - trails are excellent except for one sand snake trap. Old big log hump worn down enough chain ring will bite log on back side.

Thursday Apr 10

strength/stretching 25:00 [1]
AM - weights
biking (mtn bike) 1:01:00 [3]
PM -
strength/stretching 25:00 [1]

Wednesday Apr 9

orienteering 50:00 [3]
PM - Clinton SP - line-O, pretty much followed trails with a few compass bearing runs; kept in contact with map more. About 55 degrees, sunny. Actually felt good even on uphills. Almost past the sickness for the past few weeks (I hope).

Tuesday Apr 8

strength/stretching 23:00 [1]
AM - weights

Saturday Apr 5

running 38:00 [1]

Note
Report back from doctor - cholesterol down:
total 162 (down from 221, 2 months ago),
LDL 115 (was 160)
HDL 31 (was 44)

Apparently Dr Gravino doesn't like the HDL so low, should be up around 40. His nurse said, "I need to exercise more."
