Sunday Mar 9

running 2:38:00 [2] * 17.0 mi (9:18 / mi)
ahr:57 shoes: Asics Gel-Cumulus9
Dropped Dee off at 8:45 am for her craft festival, then started run at 9:25. Ran downtown, then did the Lawrence half marathon course (viewed only with Internet Explorer, sorry). Lots of other runners doing the course today. Nice, sunny, 35-45 this morning. Worried about some soreness in ankles, but that went away. Today's concern was arches getting blistered becuae of new orthotics - fortunately not serious. Kept business using course map and punching in mile splits on the half marathon course. Yesterday should have been the test drive of the Forerunner at Blue & Gray. Car problems, bah!

Tired at end of run; did not have that muscles tearing down feeling like last year. Got to do the rest days if soreness comes up. At least I used a map today. Really no longer sharp in mapreading on the run.

Saturday Mar 8

strength/stretching 25:00 [1]
shoes: Asics Gel-Cumulus
AM - ran taking photos of Shamrock Shuffle, then dropped truck off at Damon's apt (700 block of Ohio) and ran home. Plan was to drop off Camry at Crown Toyota for service (engine light came on - and reason to not go to Blue & Gray today. Looks like I haven't been on that map in over 5 years!). But decided anotgher rest day would be good before 17 miles tomorrow.

Friday Mar 7

strength/stretching 18:00 [1]
slept:7.0
calisthenics, stretching

Wednesday Mar 5

running 1:06:00 [2] 7.0 mi (9:26 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: Asics Gel-Cumulus9
AM - almost didn't make it out - wasn't sure if I;m about to get into over training (too much oo soon. . .). Once out, felt good on the run. Went to downtown, then up 14th and across campus and home. Seemed like I had a good turnover rate on moving the feet (feeling good and looking good aren't the same. . .). Under 70 min, these days, is good.

Tuesday Mar 4

running 57:00 [2]
shoes: Asics Gel-Cumulus9
AM - to Allen FH and back, 20F.
4 laps and stairs (1x, 2x, 3x, 4x - but only from level 3 to top)
strength/stretching 31:00 [1]
slept:6.0
Red Dog got us to hurriedly stretch on our own - why? 60 sec tests
(do as many pushups in 60 sec, crunches, mtn climbs), plus other exercises. Pushed us today.
