foam roller on legs, clam shell w/ band, side step shuffles w/band, tempo calf exercises and heel stretches. Feeling OK after 6 miles running and walking and raking leaves yesterday.

easy walking, then jogging up/down Mass St before Dog Days wamrups. Then after warmups, from 9th & Vermont to Mississippi, 11th, W Campus Rd, Naismith, Sunnyside, up steps by Blake Hall, back on Jayhawk Blvd, Miss., 9th and back to start. Kept up with various runners chatting mostly with Phil Hrenchir. Temp: 41F, sunny. Walked up most of the steep hills or steps. Need to get back into running shape.

Opted not to run the O' courses at Clinton Overlook. Left groin strain still there. Maybe tomorow.

Rescue Run 5K - went to photograph the event and watch Dee (and Fritz) run. Walked from 6th & Kansas to south side of the capitol building and back to check out vantage locations. Chatted with people at Tower Building, then back out to capitol until start of the race. All walking.
Then ran/walked back to start stopping and shooting photos.

Returned cambros to J&S Coffee, didn't have energy to run or bike on such a nice day. 70F! Checked books and a movie from the library. Finishing up post-race paper work.
Dinner with Dee and Damon (Nagoya).

14th Annual runLawrence Thanksgiving Day 5K. My annual work as an assistant race director. Up at 4:30 am, set up barricades, direction signs, street cones. Then helped setup inside Woodlawn School gym and directed setups outside (water tables, finish line, announcer needs, pace sign holders, met with EMTs, worked with lead bike riders, and other misc. duties. Still a stressful situation, but less so than previous years.

Also checked race course (portajohns in place, barricades delivered, checked last batch of mail for nay entries, got Dee lunch).
10 a- 6 p at the store. 6 - 8 at Woodlawn for setup.
