Started coughing; felt sluggish. No workout, just took Prius in for a fuse replacement.

went out to take a look at the lunar eclipse (~6:30 am), decided I didn;t want to run outside even though it was warm enough (40F) and went inside to ride the stationary bike. Varied the pace and effort - speed ups for 15 sec, then 30 sec and 60 sec on high rpms (>125), single leg spins, increased load only once. Average load: level 5.
Mileage based on the bike software. Recorded my heartrate at 199. Don;t trust any of the stats (speed, rpm, mileage).

Now taking Voltaren gel to see if that will help with the achilles/back of heel pain.

From Comm Bldg to 11th/Vt, then all the way along New Hampshire adding side blocks to Vermont on each street between 11th and 6th. Then back to Comm. Bldg, zigzagging to one or two clocks to the east, varying the distance and doing the Mass St block 3X between 8th and 9th. Wanted to total 4 miles.

Wanted to take it easy; riding the stationary bike in the gym did not appeal to me today. Temp: ~20F, wind from the east.

Kansas Day, rested.
Went to Dr. Chad Johanning for the first time - he'll be my new family doctor. He's run a lot of half marathons and was glad to get his advice on my achilles heel problem.
Watched the KU/KSU basketball game in the evening.
