strength/stretching 10:00 [1]

pre/post run stretching

running 1:20:00 [2] 6.4 mi (12:30 / mi)

from home to downtown, met Dog Days group for 5 min of stretching then ran with Joanie Starks to 14th & Mass. I turned around and headed home/. Temp: 15F, overcast, windy from NW. Mittens did not keep my fingers warm. 4 layers, so dress was OK, just cold hands.

strength/stretching (Dog Days) 30:00 [1]
slept:7.75 (sick)

at Comm. Bldg. Jay led us through a tougher workout this morning ( a good thing). Because of that I shortened my run downtown. Coughing a few times during the workout.

running (walking/running) 24:12 [2] 2.0 mi (12:06 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Pureflow 5

From Comm Bldg to 6th & Mass and back with side streets to equal 2 miles.
Started walking 1/3 block, run 2/3 block; then more running to keep warm. Temp: ~23F, nice enough. Static stretches in the gym afterwards.

Wednesday Feb 7 #

strength/stretching (Dog Days) 30:00 [1]

at SPL: calis, run then stretching after run

running 20:30 [2] 2.0 mi (10:15 / mi)
shoes: Patagonia EVERLong

4 laps with each lap: 3 sets of stairs and going into soccer field. Didn't feel fit enough to go any more laps.

Tuesday Feb 6 #

6 AM

strength/stretching (Dog Days) 30:00 [1]

At Comm. Bldg. Only a few coughs, but had a tired-out feeling for the whole workout. Calis and 5 laps around gym.

Still applying Voltaren (it's been a week) on the right achilles 4x per day; can't tell if it's helping or not. Still get aches in the achilles while sitting around once or twice a day.

Monday Feb 5 #

(sick) (rest day)

Feeling better. Dee and I had a morning meeting with our financial adviser and did not cough once during the meeting. So, feeling better but not it's not over yet.
