running/walking race 1:58:12 [3] 13.1 mi (9:01 / mi)
slept:8.0

Mankato Half Marathon, 2nd M70+, went out with the 2-hour pace group. Plan was to run the first 4-5 minutes, then begin the Galloway 90/30 run/walk intervals. The pace seemed fast to me; of course, I hadn't been training at race pace this fall. Hung with the pace group and decided to run the whole way with them. At the mile 4 big downhill, the pace setter encouraged anyone to go down the hill at their own pace as he will maintain the even pace for the 2 hour goal. About half of us went ahead - just my pace without anymore effort. Ended up staying in front of the pacer to the end.
Main success - did not cramp up the last 3 miles, which I've always had trouble every year.
31F at the start, wind about 10 mph from the SSW, overcast. Dressed just right, taking off the trash bag "over shirt" at mile 6. 1:58:12; got under 2 hours, didn't cramp up, and enjoyed the run; and placed 2nd in M70+.

strength/stretching 5:00 [1]

static stretches after shower.

strength/stretching (Dog Days) 15:00 [1]
slept:7.5

Workouts labeled "Dog Days" means I workout out with the Dog Days group. The official DD workouts ar during the summer, but a faithful group continue with Red Dog year round. We were at the library parking garage today and will be there until Thanksgiving; shorter drive than to Haskell.

After Eppley maneuver for BPPV, I have to be cautious how I move my head for the next 3 days( never lay flat on my back, never on my right side, never look up). No sudden head movements. The BPPV will go away eventually.

running/walking 23:00 [2] 2.38 mi (9:40 / mi)
shoes: Hoka One One

downtown run between 7th & 1tth and Vermont and NH. No walking; easy run with a few 100 pickups the last 3 blocks.
Drive to Mankato tomorrow.

What will my time be this Sunday? Appears it could be really slow.
