orienteering 1:26:00 [2] 5.0 mi (17:12 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: Patagonia EVERLong

Sunflower State Games - long course. I took my camera (Canon60D w/ the 70-300mm lens) with the intent of "running" on the course but stopping to take pictures. It was a good plan as Fritz designed the course so that many mid-point controls were clustered by the chapel area. Walked some, but hoofed between several controls to get in place before other runners appeared.
Hope to get the photos on my Flickr account this evening.

Dog Days 5 campus fountains tour. I stopped in front of the Kansas Union to turn runners away from the construction site in front since they could not get to the Docking Fountain. Took about 10-15 min. Other fountains (in order): Dole Center, Chancellors, Crawford House, Docking and Chi Omega. Still stiff and tired from Thursday's Dog Days workout; especially tight in the hamstrings and lower legs.
Again, forgot to start the Garmin until 1/2 mile into the run.
Jamaican pies at the farmers market afterwards. And a free sample of rose water from the hummus vendor.

strength/stretching (Dog Days) 33:00 [1]

Workout included the cross field (i.e. parking lot) drills and so I wasn't too keen to do a longer run this morning. Temp: 80F (going to get hot this afternoon).

running/walking (Galloway run) 8:00 [2] 0.75 mi (10:40 / mi)
shoes: Hoka One One

Just a lap around all the parking lots surrounding the Lied Center; Galloway 60/30 intervals.

Then went downtown to check out the sidewalk sale; didn't buy anything but bumped into a lot of I knew.

Lawrence Inner Loop - clockwise. Started early to beat the heat (near 100F later today).
Cadence: 79 rpm

Went to the doctor yesterday to see what to do with the light headedness (almost) every time getting up after sitting for a long spell. It was decided I get off of the Lisinopril but still take the Carvedilol (for the heart). The meds can help lower blood pressure while helping the heart, but I have low blood pressure. we'll see in 3 weeks if I'm better.

easy walk from Lied Center, over Iowa St bridge, down to the right on the road then a left on a new bike path, then up set of stairs to Irving Hill Rd, repeating the loop one more time before back to Lied. Very scenic of the "golden valley glorious to view." Temp: 70F, nice morning.
