Just felt tired to ride in spite of a good morning before it got hot.

2nd TT on Westward Ho 5K at 1st Methodist West Campus XC course. Pushed the pace, tried to rest up the days before and wore lighter shoes. Time improvement was minimal. Not use to pushing the pace for a 5K. I train very slowly these days and mostly walk/run. Previous TT last weekend was a 29:18. All that effort to cut of 52 seconds.
Mile splits: 9:13, 9:14, 7:53. 1st two miles were hillier., 3rd mile was flat.

Very, very tired this morning, so changed the Galloway intervals to 60/60 (run/walk). To 9th & Mass. and back. Wanted a flat course today.

easy Dog Day's type stretching and exercises, plus hip and heel dip stretches. 3x25 pushups (esy day). Still feeling tired from hard ride yesterday. I got a nice call from Marty Dubois yesterday afternoon long after the morning bike ride that had me bent over feeling really light-headed. He and others were concerned about my health. I bet the cause was pushing the pace higher than I had been when riding alone, plus not taking my first gu gel until 1;15, then didn't take another 35 min. later when I should have. I forgot I have to keep my sugar level on an even keel. And I didn't drink enough water.
So this is a rest day.

Bloomington (Clinto0n lake) to Overbrook and back with Retro riding group. Pace was faster than what I had been doing. Tried not to work too hard going out,. After break at Casey's, felt better going back with mostly a tailwind.

Again, didn't get a cadence reading.

Ran to campus - HighPointe Apts, then Jayhawk Blvd, Indiana, Arkansas, stayed on 7th up the hill to McDonland Drive, then home. Galloway 60/30 intervals. Very sluggish and took it easy. Temp: 70F

I used to cover twice the distance in this time. Tsk!
