Squash 45:00 [4]

MAASH Open
Lost 2-3 to HQ (213). In a real bad funk.
Outplayed on the pressure points.
Just saw a video of the match....movement was very lazy & lacked intensity.

Squash 45:00 [4]

MAASH Open -A grade
Horrible 2-3 loss to JE (223)
Not a great pre-Match snapping my squash shoelace. Forced to wear runners with no traction.
1st game went point for point 12-10 to him.
2nd game I was up 9-1 and 10-4 then had the biggest mental lapse/choke to lose it 14-12.
3rd and 4th game I knuckled down and gained control.
5th game was a blur going down 1-11 with him hitting winners from everywhere.
5 PM

Squash 45:00 [5]

MAASH open
1-3 loss to DJ (243)
Still in shock from earlier loss, this match followed a similar pattern but higher quality.
Lost the first game 10-12.
Won the second 11-8.
Was feeling in control in the 3rd but had no confidence on drops and boasts. Lost it 13-15. Similar 4th game 11-13.
Physically fine, just not mentally there today.

Orienteering race 34:37 [5] ** 8.55 km (4:03 / km) +65m 3:54 / km
spiked:30/30c shoes: Asics Gel Tarther TG253

Short, flat runners course on A3 1:5,000 map. Lots of route options, with most of the 600's around 8.4-8.9km.

Navigation was simple, so the main challenge was keeping concentration at speed so not to miss a control. Only lost ~10secs attempting to hug the fence line from 14-3 - taking the path the entire way would've been quicker.

Legs & glutes felt strong after the squash conditioning over the weekend followed by 2 days rest. Pushed 100% as no squash comp until Friday.

Scored my fastest ever 600 in 34:37. Just 17secs ahead of Richard G & 13 others finishing with the lot under 45mins.

Started SE 4-23-11-10, out and back to 18, 24, 22. Then the SW which seemed circuitous but turned out ok: 25-15-5-14-3-13-28-6-7-29-2.
Then the northern loop: 26-27-8-20-19-16-17-9-3--21-12.

Glenn probably had the best route (8.1km), although he forgot 30 (+0.3km).
