Walking 1:48:00 [1] 10.0 km (10:48 / km) +150m 10:03 / km
shoes: New Balance M870 G

Walk with Jo from Meadowbank to Putney just in time for the first ferry to Mortlake. Back along the other side of the river via the historical Eadith Walker Convalescent Hospital, Kokoda memorial and rail bridge. Only ever rushed around here on various SSS runs, so it was nice to take in more of the nice surrounds.

South SSS at Maroubra
Nicest beach in Sydney, I think. Planned on the run and my route turned out ok. Skipped #2 and 17 for 570, finished with a couple of minutes to spare. Only lost a minute at #1 which was stolen. Eyes were burning the whole way from sunscreen.

SSS 6 at Woolwich

Always nice running around Hunters Hill with the tree lined streets and steep drops down to the water on both sides. Cool conditions added to the enjoyment. The section along the shore 18-21 was particulalrly nice - and new to me. The main route conundrums were the multiple options through Kelly's bush and which 10-pointers to drop. The rest was relatively obvious.

Made a comedy of errors around #20. Initially from 8 I missed the track junction. Decided to keep going to 15 because I thought could easily get it on the way back from the top. Not so... From 11 I bashed through the scrub/lantana, then missed the track again from the other end. Somehow down near 8 again I eventfully found the way after wasting 3mins. Relatively minor 30s errors at 17 and 25. On a positive note, my knee felt okay on the descents although still not striding 100%.

Skipped 3,4 5 on the way back for 570, 6mins over = 510. Way off Ondrej's impressive 570. Andy, Richard and Toby 530.
