Easy recovery run after racing yesterday. Quads a little sore but not too bad. No other issues.

Warm up before race. All feeling good.

Running race (Snowdon ) 1:15:33 [5] 15.09 km (5:00 / km) +961m 3:48 / km

Snowdon race. Ran strong to the summit, felt ok but disappointed with my ascent time of 49:59. Decent downhill, felt strong except for some twinges of cramp in the calfs, ran out of steam on the road to the finish and got passed by Nathan Jones on the entry to the field after passing him on the last part of the mountain. Finished in 1:15:33, 21st place.

Good strong run on mainly forestry trails. Gradual increase in effort throughout and pushed quite hard for the last ten minutes or so before easy 20' to finish.

Cycling (Hill reps) 2:00:42 [5] +1150m

Hill reps on the bike, up a steeper hill today than last time. Used to use this hill for running 8 min hill reps a few years ago. Today I did 7 x 7' reps. Weather was poor, raining all day, so the road was a bit slippery. Managed to reach the same spot on the hill for each rep, but it was definitely getting harder each time. These sessions are very tough, but satisfying once completed. Total distance 22.1 miles. Did around 25' warm and the same warm down. Not sure what the average gradient is but part of the climb is over 22% and most of it is around 10-12%.

Good moderate paced undulating/hilly run in forestry. Felt really good on this run today, strong on the uphills.
