Red course - my 2nd time with this park. Last year, I made some bad errors on few controls. So, this time it was ok but I ran so slow due a pull right groin. I tried on my new Garmin Forerunner 405. The GPS is kind of confused with the bezel around the watch rim. It probably need to setup and increase sensitivity.

My start was early at 9:00 with fog, drizzle and humid. I did little better than the day before. But it was still slow, don't want to make another mistakes. My physical and mental seems in good shape. I did really enjoyed the West Point terrains. I won't mind to go back again next year.

Warm up 17:42 [3] 1 km (17:42 / km) +120m 11:04 / km
slept:7.2 shoes: VJ Falcon 1
At West Point Event, I walked up to the start area along with my wife. Her start time was at 10:41 with dizzle, fog and chilly. I stayed at the start to wait for my turn at 11:26. I warmed up while waiting by the time I ready to start. I already got wet and chilly and can't wait to move on.
Orienteering 2:23:12 [3] 3.8 km (37:41 / km) +170m 30:48 / km
shoes: VJ Falcon 1
My first time orienteering with so many boulders, cliffs and bare rocks. I got bad bobbling at very 1st control cuz I didn't get used with bare rocks and cliffs. After that, I got through slowly and so many rocks to run or walk. Got MP on control #9 but did go the rest of controls. I was exhausted and tired at the end.
