O race race 54:20 [5] *** 5.3 km (10:15 / km) +120m 9:13 / km
spiked:12/14c

NSW long champs. - 2nd in m60a - beat Gordon W by 4 seconds so I was glad I ran hard in the finish chute. Nick won by 5 minutes! Lost 1 minute taking a stick out of the sole of my shoe after deciding I could not run with it sticking into my foot. Also lost maybe 2-3 minutes in total at controls 1 and 5. Nice course with some tricky control sites.

O race race 38:29 [3] *** 3.8 km (10:08 / km) +155m 8:25 / km
spiked:17/18c

Nsw middle champs. 2nd in m60a. 1 minute behind n dent. Nice area and lost about 1 minute on one control when pulled up too short. Did not press hard up hills as the long on tomorrow.

ride with Peter 1:00:00 [3] 20.0 km (3:00 / km) +90m 2:56 / km

Shorter and flatter ride today as I taper for coming events - timing and distance approx. as forgot to turn Garmin on again after the coffee stop.

wed o event race 53:56 [4] *** 7.21 km (7:29 / km) +184m 6:38 / km
spiked:11/13c

Today's event at Campbell Park was a good reminder for the NSW Champs this coming weekend - be a bit cautious when racing - Lost time on control 2 when I charged into the green - should have swung wider and picked up a feature closer to the control - and on control 6 would have been wiser to enter the gully earlier and counted off the dams before trying the find a control about 100 metres away from a dam near some green (I was too high). Advertised course length was 5.9 km - expect I lost around 5 minutes in total. Good course set for the event - at least 7 control sites I had not visited before.

Pooch walk

Swim 30:00 [3]

Erindale indoor pool was a' beacon of warmth' on a wet and coldish Canberra day. However, not sure if some of the warmth was generated in part by a lot of primary school kids having school swimming lessons in half of the pool - normally they are not there when I go swimming around lunchtime.

walking 50:00 [3] 3.5 km (14:17 / km)
(rest day)

Walked the pooch up and over the usual route on Narrabundah Hill - i.e. via kangaroo alley.
