ride with Peter 1:41:48 [3] 42.7 km (2:23 / km) +315m 2:18 / km

Peleton of 2 but without Peter - Vern and I rode the usual route - an earlier start to beat the heat. Have noticed since returning that our bike path surfaces are pretty rough in many places compared to Perth. Suggest ACT govt ask WA govt. for more of their GST receipts to lift the quality of our paths up to theirs - seems fair. Again very still conditions for riding and lots of people out exercising or riding to work despite the early hour.

Yoga 1:00:00 [3]

First 2016 class and felt the flow on benefit of the Boot camp in Perth as stronger in most activities, including the tree and flamingo one leg balances.

road cycling 1:05:00 [3] 21.0 km (3:06 / km) +150m 2:59 / km

Cruisy ride with Liz around central and west basins of LBG. Still conditions again today. Used the MTB for a change. Nice coffee stop after at Oaks Brassier in Weston Park - a coffee and tea for $8. - clearly not Perth prices.

ride with Peter 1:38:09 [3] 40.4 km (2:26 / km) +280m 2:21 / km

Peleton of 1 around the usual LBG circuit - Lots and Lots of people out exercising around the lake, especially the central basin - and they did not look like the summernats crowd either. Passed Liz and co about to go for a walk thru the Jerrobomba snake lands. Ride was quicker than normal as no talking. Also not caffeine enhanced as rode by 38 Expresso - riding conditions were great with virtually no wind before a forecast hot day here. Despite a fast ride found out I had put on weight (200 grams) compared to the last hard ride - 3 Mt Tennents last night probably did not help (a local ale).

Run 7:00 [3] 1.3 km (5:23 / km)

Short jog under the cork trees confirmed the right leg plantaris tendon has not recovered. Thus only a very short jog. Better get back on the bike instead.

ride with Peter 1:46:24 [3] 44.31 km (2:24 / km) +302m 2:19 / km

Peleton of 4 on the usual Wed morning ride but held on Friday given I missed the normal start time. Nice still conditions - chance to use my xmas gift from Katie - a Bent Spoke brewery cycling top and bottom. Pretty fast pace and I was cunningly boxed in on a couple of hill climb sprints. Usual coffee stop and back into Canberra lingo - a double shot latte rather than a long mac (as the term used in Perth). Hill on the way up our street felt comfortable riding for a change.

road cycling 1:48:10 [3] 39.39 km (2:45 / km) +454m 2:36 / km

Peleton of 2 tackling the Cotter/Uriarra loop with Brad - first time around here for quite a while - windy day but easy meat compared to Perth wind. Rode part of the new bike path built on north end of Stromlo that is inside the fence next to the Uriarra road (maybe 1.5 kms of path) - bit of a luxury having this as not much traffic on the road anyway - but maybe when the new suburb goes in the traffic will be worse so the bike path will be more justified. Cool conditions - around 22 C. Garmin failed as to full with info after Perth rides and yet to down load - so time/data taken off Brad's starva.
