Last session here for a bit over 5 weeks. Finished off with happy baby pose.

Run 14:05 [3] 2.36 km (5:58 / km) +24m 5:41 / km

Wow another (short) run - again the same loop as the last 2 and about another 60 metres further this time in the same time. Wet and muddy conditions after more rain overnight and light rain during the run. Leg slowly recovering I think - still not quite the same on the right as the left tho.

Token male on a walk up and down Black Mountain with Liz and 4 of her lady friends. Turned down the offer to join them for a post walk coffee to get home to watch JWOC only to discover I had miscalculated the time in Switzerland and I had an hour to spare before the races started. Overcast but warmish conditions for the walk.

Used MTB to ride from Liz's work in Griffith to home via the edge of lake. Quick pace on a sunny and still day.

Second short run in two days - leg getting better by the looks - did about 300 metres more in the same time as 2 days ago on the same route. Cloudy cool conditions again today.

Eventful ride in a peleton of 3. Lost the chain off the big sprocket after about 30 minutes and with no support vehicle following had to fix it myself. Fortunately the peleton slowed to allow me to catch up. Then arrived at coffee stop and could not get the bike to change off the big sprocket at the front. Again no support crew with a spare bike or willing to fix it - and the others on the DRAG (Duffy Riders and Guests) team were not willing to give me their bike. I tried to adjust the front dereuillier but made it worse so had to ride home with only about 3 large gears which was murder up Warragamba avenue - had to walk the last 100 metres. Then followed a you tube guide to try and fix it - made it worse so headed to the bike shop - result was they found a broken metal bracket on the top of the dereuillier which explains why it was so hard to adjust - another on order. Fine but cool day and a pretty strong south/south east wind which I seemed to be the lead out rider into most of it.

Went to Liz's flexibility class after rain washed out the usual bike ride. As it happened the class was more a yoga one as the usual flexibility instructor had quit. I think a few in the class were a bit shocked by some of the exercises - I felt ok and enjoyed some different exercises.

Short run to test the leg post Saturday O race - felt OK. Ground soft after the rain so pleasant to run on. Different route to usual - managed to find a hole in the large fence to the north of us which was good. Walked back after 2 kms as did not want to run further today as part of the recovery process.
