Run 25:53 [3] 5.0 km (5:11 / km) +41m 4:58 / km
ahr:151 max:157

Weston Park parkrun no 3 for me - 5 second improvement on PB after 2 weeks of training - low rate of return but at least solidifying my running base. Quite a few orienteers running today amongst the 307 entrants. Lovely running conditions weather wise.

Friday Feb 16 #

MTB 32:58 [3] 12.71 km (2:36 / km) +117m 2:29 / km
ahr:120 max:141

Short hit-out to meet Liz at the Fox and Ivy at ANU for caffeine fix. Went via lower arboretum road so about half on dirt. Westerly wind made ride less than perfect.

Thursday Feb 15 #

Run 15:53 [3] 3.06 km (5:11 / km) +35m 4:55 / km
ahr:146 max:158 weight:75.2kg

Cross country track with a variation to push the distance out to 3 kms. The new route avoided the hill which helped make time better for the same distance - going thru 2.56 kms in 13.16 compared with 13.36 earlier in the week. Garmin suggested an improved VO2Max at 43 - it must use an algorithm to measure it. Some fast and young cross country runners were training at the same time and I asked their coach what he thought their VO2Max was and he said about 64. Pretty sure he said they did a 1 km loop in 3.16.

ride with Peter 1:36:35 [3] 39.73 km (2:26 / km) +397m 2:19 / km
ahr:129 max:161 weight:75.2kg

Peleton of 7 today altho Brad tanked on the way to Kingston after a number of surges by others in the team. Second in the hill sprint today when I gave the old bloke too much of a lead at the bottom of the hill. Strong headwinds in the way home and the DRAG team naturally splintered into two groups - which were nominally referred to as the Kings and Queens.

Tuesday Feb 13 #

Run 13:36 [3] 2.58 km (5:16 / km) +27m 5:01 / km
ahr:141 max:155

Stromlo cross country track run on a overcast day. Lots of roos around the track. Best felt so far for this run - altitude training at the coast must have helped. . Warm up run/walk to track from home and a warm down walk/jog on the way home afterwards - total distance 5.44kms.

Monday Feb 12 #

walking 35:00 [3] 3.2 km (10:56 / km)

From home to Coleman court for coffee at the new bookshop - took a while to find the entrance which is made to look like a bookshelf. All downhill from our place.
