Parkrun 4 - new PB (just by 10 seconds) on a warm day. Went thru first km in 4.49 and second in 5.11 - at half way mark in 12.33 - 4th km was hardest. Post run weight was first time below 75 kg for a long time - probably have to starve myself to get a lower weight even tho goal is 70kg!.

Peleton of 3 plus Vern's dog. Usual Friday ride to the arboretum for coffee - this time via the zoo single tracks. Nice riding weather - took it pretty easy.

3*1 km laps today of the cross country track - during the first lap my max HR alarm on garmin kept going off - solution was to increase the max HR level (rather than slowdown). Had a short break between each lap with splits of 5.08, 4.47 and 5.22. Happy with lap 2 and shows I probably needed to warm up a bit more before running too hard - lap 2 also stands me in good stead if there is a 1 km finish chute at Easter.
9 AM

Quick bite of breakfast after running then off to walk the pooch to top of Mt Taylor and down. Nice temperature of around 24C - pooch was a bit slow tho as kept stopping to smell various bushes. Was passed twice by a runner doing laps up and down the mountain - she was running well.

Peleton of 5 with fluctuating speed. Two of us were asked to slowdown at the front which we did but the others never catched us before the coffee stop. Won hill sprint as no competition. Max speed 52.2 km/h (not up the hill tho). Nice riding conditions albeit a bit cool at the start. Ride home faster than in, but overall, a bit cruisey today.

A cool morning on the cross country track with a strong south east breeze - apparent temp was 7C and wind around 30 km/h. Time was around 30 second slower for the same route last time I ran here - wind would explain some of the difference - lots of roos on or very near the track. Enjoyable.

Walked pooch to top of Stromlo and back - lots of MTBs about on the way down - there was a race starting at the top and they were slowly winding their way up the fire trails as we came down.
