O race 14:59 [3] 1.9 km (7:53 / km) +20m 7:30 / km

ACT Sprint Champs at Canberra Grammar and continued the tradition of being the bridesmaid. Split times confirm I murdered the start of the course with lost time on controls 1, 3, 5 and the exit from 5 to 6 - went thru the spectator control (6) in 5th in the class before pulling back to 2nd at the end. Forgot about the compass to 1 but still ran fast hoping to be able to relocate of something - luckily took a viable wide route choice option but needed to stop to work out which car park I hit. The other lost time caused by trying to catch up on lost time!
Still might have been hard to beat Gordon with a perfect run. Use of SiAir was good fun.

ride with Peter 2:06:18 [3] 47.72 km (2:39 / km) +679m 2:28 / km
ahr:127 max:171

Peleton of 5 rode to top of Mt Ainslie as a variation on the usual Wednesday LBG ride. Tough climb over the latter part where it gets to around 11%. Peter did Mt pleasant instead which sounded nicer - all met at 38 for usual coffee and chatter. Slight headwind on way home but Brad set both a good pace and wind shelter.

Tuesday May 8 #

walking 1:20:00 [3] 8.0 km (10:00 / km) +230m 8:45 / km

Usual walk with pooch to top of Stromlo and back - carried about another 10kgs for the fun of it.

Monday May 7 #

road cycling 1:07:00 [3] 29.7 km (2:15 / km) +250m 2:10 / km

Spin around west basin of LBG - bit of a wind from the north west which slowed up some segments. Legs could feel the hills today.

Sunday May 6 #

O race 48:00 [3] 6.2 km (7:45 / km) +97m 7:11 / km

Mass start loop race at back of Stromlo - an area I had not done O on in years - like a few others I did a 180 out of the start but not for long - albeit the leaders were around 50 metres away before I got on track - ran alone for a while then caught Anna Herzeg and saw her for the rest of the course - not able to pass even tho she was doing 4 loops to my two. Some tricky control locations and vegetation mapping in places was out of date - nice course tho and felt tried after park run the day before.
