Run 24:34 [3] 5.0 km (4:55 / km) +38m 4:44 / km
ahr:149 max:160

Burley Griffen parkrun and smashed PB by about 45 seconds - cool conditions might have helped and a bit more training under my belt - and a tighter belt after losing weight. Run felt good and able to maintain a higher HR for longer.

MTB 1:22:23 [3] 19.23 km (4:17 / km) +283m 3:59 / km
ahr:101 max:139

Ride to arboretum via zoo pine forest single tracks for coffee and then a visitation to some of the many townhouses/apartment blocks/ and other buildings with fancy European names on them which are being built nearby in Coombs - Nice day for a ride - chilly but sunny. Peleton of 3.

ahr:105 max:127

Peleton of 4 on a foggy and cool CBR day. Bike was frisky after a service and new chain. Mostly a sedate pace tho on the LBG circuit with plenty of chatting - as illustrated by HR readings.

Run 35:24 [3] 5.49 km (6:27 / km) +53m 6:09 / km
ahr:121 max:137

Warm down run with Grant after he did the UTA100 on the weekend - he took 20 hours! pace for run pretty slow given he was in recovery mode - lots of talking and looking at wallabies as we ran thru Mulligans Flat nature park. Wore a thermal to keep warm in the chilly wind.

O race 1:15:00 [3] 7.0 km (10:43 / km) +222m 9:15 / km

Desperate for an O race after the Marginata event was cancelled so went to the SHOO local event at Mittagong - advertised as a new map by a Swedish mapper - area was good - lot of single tracks, sandstone cliffs and big boulders and green and some route choice - map could be improved a bit tho - contours were hard to read as a bit too faint - and some small paths which helped in route choice were hard to see in the rock detail - altho not helped by course setter not breaking circles and putting the red line over some of them. Swedish mapper might have been living here for a while I guess or his parents were Swedish. Course lenght said 4.5 kms but the must have been via a straight line.

Enjoyed the run but lost time on control 6 - did not see the little track below the cliffs in the rock and took an upper single track and then went off at the wrong spot and search the wrong rocks for a while (so did liz!) then lost time on 9 which was in the wrong place - a 1 meter cliff about half way to the one shown on the map, then lost time on the route choice to 10 - did all the hard work following a small track to a junction below cliffs then turned right and found a gap across the creek and up between some big cliffs to a track - if I had looked left at the junction the same track actually crossed the creek further back and went to the spot I joined it!!

Anyway a nice day out and enjoyed the area.
