MTB 1:22:49 [3] 20.35 km (4:04 / km) +319m 3:46 / km
ahr:152 max:193

Usual Rucks the dog run/ride to arboretum - did the longer ride today despite the efforts last night. Peleton of 3. HR results look suss again.

Thursday Feb 28 #

Run 50:00 [3] 7.0 km (7:09 / km) +179m 6:20 / km

Running training at arboretum - 2 km warm up and warm down - then about a 700 metre looped run with climb on two sections and trying to hold form (by three times) - unsuccessfully. And all followed by 4 by 100 metre runs on soft lawn in bare feet - lots of puffing tonight. Coach was recovering from illness so did not join in - just offered running tips from the side line.

Time and distance an estimate after I left the garmin on accidentally when I drove off and didn't realise until leaving the arboretum - which will explain my top speed of 49 km/h.

Wednesday Feb 27 #

ride with Peter 1:31:16 [3] 39.39 km (2:19 / km) +387m 2:13 / km
ahr:120 max:145

Fast riders turned up today for the LBG hit out - a Peleton of 5 with another trying to catch after a late start. Tried to jump start the faster riders on the hill sprint and got ahead but died again on the steep pitch (second time on 2 weeks) which I put down to "heavy training load" on the legs. Bit of a headwind on the way (I hope) and as a result felt sluggish - especially as there was surge riding going on at the front. Fast time (average speed says 26 km/h) tho but again I had to work hard hold the back of the lead out bunch. Ride home from 38 Expresso also relatively fast.

Tuesday Feb 26 #

Run 28:46 [3] 5.04 km (5:42 / km) +77m 5:18 / km
ahr:131 max:146

Same run as last week to Stromlo on a mix of single tracks and cross country track - bit quicker this time but did need to briefly stop twice to stretch as a bit tight on RHS.

Sunday Feb 24 #

O race 1:01:50 [3] 4.31 km (14:21 / km) +121m 12:35 / km
ahr:112 max:153

More O training but this on a non Easter type of map - I hope - it was very thick at Honeysuckle Creek today - plenty of compass work and carefully checking off features - it was said the course was akin to using night orienteering techniques - expect we started about 10.30am.
