Park run 26:37 [3] 5.0 km (5:19 / km) +42m 5:07 / km
ahr:144 max:152

Coombs parkrun on the new double loop course for the first time. It has a sizeable rise which has to be done twice. No zip in the legs after the weeks training load - but was able to run reasonably comfortably. A couple of orienteers were there including Mark Gregson who got 4th place. Warm and overcast.

MTB 1:40:00 [3] 36.0 km (2:47 / km) +350m 2:39 / km

Back to the arboretum again but by MTB - larger peloton today with 5 riders and a dog. Long coffee break half way, where amongst other things, there was plenty of discussion about the forthcoming poetry readings at the DRAG Xmas Gathering and Shindig.

Cadence (aka mountain goats) running training at the arboretum but wth a 31C temp thrown in for fun. Felt very average on the 2 km warm up loop. Then had 6 loops of a circuit with one very steep climb (which I walked each time). Felt better after 2 loops but 6 was my max. Each loop was around 3.5 minutes at temp pace. Finished off with some butt running technique - basically running with one foot lifted high close to your but for say 10 times while you hobble on the other foot - then switch legs and repeat. There was some logic to it but it went over my head. Passed on the warm down lap as too warm already.

ride with Peter 1:43:46 [3] 40.14 km (2:35 / km) +407m 2:28 / km
ahr:116 max:146

Peleton of 6 with a 8.30 am start to beat the heat. No wind here today for a change so very pleasant riding conditions around the LBG circuit. 2nd place in the Scrivener Dam hill sprint - but only by a bike length. Lots and lots of bikes on the path going both ways - reinforcing the drastic need to duplicate the bike paths in the heart of the nation. Peloton rode home together rather than raced today - not sure why - maybe no one had on their race face.

Strength and conditioning 1:00:00 [3] 1.0 km (1:00:00 / km)

Great sunrise this morning as I headed to the exercise class - really bright red/pink colours. Usual mixture of exercises which helped the time go by quickly.

Around 2 basins of LBG with Dairy Farmers Hill thrown into the mix. Windy but not as baad as yesterday. Slog up Dairy Farmers Hill going clockwise.
