Rucks ride to the arboretum and back - actually had blue sky for a change - due to heat up later. Usual single track back of zoo and some of the new MTB tracks in the arboretum. Very pleasant but felt the effects of the ride yesterday. Peloton of 5 plus a dog plus a runner for coffee.

No Peter but rode with Brad - first time on the roadie since before Xmas - Brad talked a lot but we still seemed to ride fast. Grant joined near Civic for coffee stop. Air quality fair. Showed Brad our new "swamp cooler" (must be a US term) which has been a life saver and also helps filter out smoke.

With our quality rated as "Poor" in Canberra this morning this was actually a big improvement over recent days - so took the opportunity to run with Grant in the far north - from Gold Creek village to Hall and back - slow and steady effort.

Toughening out these conditions unlike fellow competitors who escaped to Port Stephens and Bali.
