O race 1:17:16 [3] 7.61 km (10:09 / km) +317m 8:24 / km

First bush O event for quite a while. Mugga - an extension of Issacs Ridge - plus some of that lovely climb of the ridge!. Long first leg with a route choice challenge - I decided to climb early and contour. Was followed by climb, drop, climb, drop, then contour to 5 before another climb. Two downhill legs but both a bit slow as a lot of rock on the ground. Then into a new section with regrowth and point features. Went well but getting close to 10 I tripped and fell in a wet area - result was mud head to toe, including the map. L knee was sore after this so just walked and jogged slow for the rest of the course. Knee seemed to come better once I got home and had some chocolate. Course was advertised as 6.5 km in length.

Peloton of 4 for the arboretum coffee ride - did zoo single tracks and thru to Wide Brown Land - on the way back went via Dairy Farmers Hill and the fast pines. Lovely day for riding in the heart of the nation.

Rogaine 3:54:05 [3] 19.03 km (12:18 / km) +418m 11:05 / km

MapRun rogaine in the area around Queanbeyan with Liz. We walked (fast) except in the last 30 minutes where we jogged a bit to use different leg muscles and thought we might arrive back late for the 4 hour event. Some nice bush areas adjacent to the burbs of sin city. Enjoyed sights next to the river and a small creek that had great small winding trails. Got 19 controls - phone beeped at all sights. Nice weather.

ride with Peter 1:42:34 [3] 39.8 km (2:35 / km) +402m 2:27 / km

7 in the peloton for the LBG circuit with a stiff southerly thrown into the mix. Won the hill sprint with the new wheels. Des tried unsuccessfully to slip by at the last moment. New wheels did not help when riding into the wind tho. Brad's turn for a flat today when he is rear tyre let off a sound like a 22 calibre rifle shot. Broad range of topics discussed over coffee including the inflation rate since 1990. One rider has his house up for auction this weekend. Subsequently found out 103.34% total inflation over the past 30 years. So he should look at getting more than double his purchase price of $109K.

O race 53:54 [3] 5.66 km (9:31 / km) +243m 7:50 / km

Another run around a MapRun course together - this time Cooleman Ridge course 1. Noticed my phone seemed to beep earlier than Grant's - which saved me a few metres. Reversed the result of last week with me winning by 2 seconds this time. We chose some different routes today - with most of mine proving to be less than optimal. Lost a minute or so when Grants phone did not beep at one control until he moved further down a gully than where my phone worked. Windy and cold conditions. Steep course also.
