road cycling 1:35:27 [3] 27.77 km (3:26 / km) +235m 3:18 / km

Cruise tourist ride with Nick and Hillary and Liz to Lake Tuggers and back - still windy and cool.

Wednesday Sep 23 #

ride with Peter 1:50:00 [3] 40.13 km (2:44 / km) +364m 2:37 / km

LBG circuit on a very windy day - peloton of 6 - flew into Kingston with a tail wind most of the way. On south side of west basin on the way in as they are resealing the bike path on the other side. Coffee at new Kingston abode of a DRAG member. Home into a brutal headwind - legs gave up with 5 kms to go so solo for the last bit including the climb up to Col de Warragamba.

Run 1:10:22 [3] 10.41 km (6:46 / km) +103m 6:26 / km

With Grant starting at Dickson pool - then up to the lower slopes of Mt Majura then along edge of Watson and back via Downer. So green here at present and dams full and brimming with ducks. BTW we had 30 mm of rain in Upper Duffy late yesterday and overnight. Run back thru the streets bit of a drag after the nice single track earlier on. Flat terrain at the end a good set up for a sprinters finish (like in Le Tour) but I decided to stay in the peloton and just cruise over the finish line.

Swim 20:00 [3] 0.25 km (1:20:00 / km) +1m 1:18:26 / km

Short recovery swim at Stromlo Leisure centre - plus did a bit of pool walking and sat under the spray jets (the best part) for longer than swimming (did not count this time tho). Rode over and back as well.

Sunday Sep 20 #

O race 29:05 [3] 4.39 km (6:37 / km) +47m 6:17 / km

Another urban sprint - happy with time etc but got caught by the course setters (unnecessary) trap when I punched 223 instead of 202 - controls were probably 10 metres apart - oh well. Enjoyed the rest of course. Distance was long tho.
