Usual arboretum coffee ride but kept off single tracks a fair bit as they are a soft in spots after alllll the rain we have had. Plus they had closed some tracks as they are flat out trying to cut the grass before it grows again. Saw at least 30 magpies at one spot that had just been cut - feasting on what had been exposed by the mowing. Despite dodging most puddles still had to wash the bike when I got home to keep it pristine.

Run training group on a stunner morning after the storm overnight. Ran from arboretum car park to Himalayan pines for some hill reps - then to the Cork Oaks for a circuit run - and then a slog back uphill to the car park.

Wednesday Oct 28 #

Usual LBG loop from Duffy Heights. 5 in the peloton. 2nd in Scrivener Dam Hill sprint after a late starter caught up and swept by while I was cruising over the Dam bridge counting my (expected) winnings. Nice to have a day without rain for a change.

Tuesday Oct 27 #

From home to Stromlo and back. The cross country track was closed today so did a circuit of the criterium track instead. No bikes on the track so did not get any advantage from drafting. Felt pretty average on this run tho.

Swim on (another) a cold wet Canberra day - lucky we have an indoor pool.
