Ski-Classic 2:23:00 [1]

Longer classic ski followed by a short run. Felt nice to get back kicking on classic skis, had to use wax from Canada but was still able to focus on technique. Bonked a little bit at the end of the ski but ate a bit and then felt fine on the run.

Run 22:00 [1]

Ski-Skate 1:45:00 [3]

Skate at Midd, somewhat odd format to intervals because I broke a pole a little ways into the 2nd interval and had to go grab Sean's classic poles. 8-5-8 threshold then 2x5min threshold+ (20k pace, HR avg was right on the line of L3/L4 for both).

Run 45:00 [1]

Easy PM run on Mac's loop

Ski-Skate 1:30:00 [1]

AM 90 minute skate ski with 8 uphill pick-ups followed by a 30 minute run. Not a lot open but the field across the road is in decent shape. Took 5 or 10 minutes to get back in the swing of things but skating felt good after that.

Run 30:00 [1]

Nordic Weights 45:00 [1]

PM strength at the Midd gym, felt ok

Note
(rest day)

Uffda, busy day, made it to man camp by the seat of my pants and unfortunately had to take an unplanned day off.

Wednesday Dec 7, 2016 #

Run 1:15:00 [5]

Aquathalon, felt good for the mile (something like 4:55 at 90% effort) then I drowned with style in the pool. Logging all as running.

Ski-Classic 1:15:00 [4]

AM 30-30s on Farley fields, all DP with Mac. Usually tuesday morning intensity is tough energy-wise but I felt fine today. Feel like I could have slowed down tempo and double poled more efficiently though.
4 PM

Nordic Weights 1:00:00 [1]

PM strength, felt back in the swing of things.
