Ski-Skate 1:15:00 [4]

10k skate race at Elm Creek. Huge field on a 2.5k loop, it was a total shitshow. When the dust settled the first lap I was in the 2nd pack, made a push the 2nd lap to regain contact with the lead pack, then went into cruise control after I realized that wasn't happening. Put in a little surge at the end when I realized people were catching me though. Didn't have super high expectations so I was moderately satisfied.

Double pole ski at Elm Creek with 6x20 second uphill sprints on the donut loop hill. Felt solid, but I was getting a little bored by the end.

Pm skate at Wirth with Sinkler, felt good, it was nice to have company.

Am skate at Hyland, natural snow is ice but the 5k loop is still fantastic. Settled into a nice easy pace and worked on technique.

2x15min 30-30s at Wirth, felt pretty easy for VO2 but I think that's good for this high volume week. Tropical outside and I didn't have warm enough kick, but managed ok. Lots of DP and I felt fast on that, felt a little sloppier striding during these.

Pm skate at Wirth, super warm outside, felt good, 12 min legs only. Happy HR again

AM skate threshold intervals at Hyland. 10/10 day for skiing. 5x10 seconds sprints on the warm-up, 4x10 minutes threshold, felt in control the entire time.

Approaching this week a little cautiously, want to get big hours but I acknowledge exams left me pretty wiped. AM longer strength with Dundon & co at SW, nice throwback.

PM classic ski with Sean, worked on reacquiatancing myself with the technique stuff we worked on at Thanksgiving camp.
