Unintended day off due to weather, which sucks since it was my long run day, 15-20 miles. I guess I'll have to pick up the milage tomorrow (sunday) or next week. Bummer!

Set out planning on doing 9 miles. I decided for a change to run with my Ipod which I hardly do anymore. My chord for my head phones kept sliding to the side and was annoying the hell out of me. So when I stopped to drop them off I just decided to call it a day. It turned out to be a positive thing since I got to meet up with my buddy Tom and we are running 6 miles tomorrow morning. Tom has run about a dozen ultra's and has been a pretty good mentor to me. It's always nice to run and pick his brain while in the process.

Super hot day ~107F. I would usually run at ~8:20 pace for 15 minutes then walk for 2-3 minutes. Running when it's that hot is not that fun. Though it's part of life out here.
