Greenhead Parkrun.
Watch died after less than 1km so had to run a bit more on feel this week. Started to suffer too much for my head after 3km (11:50 approx) so eased back and settled into an easier pace. Was on 19:40 pace, but just could not persuade myself to carry on pushing hard. Shame as my legs were ok. Surprised not to be slower at the end after "giving up" at 3km. Need to get through these doubts and keep pushing if I want to get a decent time. Maybe I should try a different course or just do it by myself on local roads.

Standard run up the valley. Left glute a bit tight and numb at first. Steady pace.

Wednesday Aug 23, 2017 #

Through Brockholes and up to Oldfield. Back through woods and village.
Finding it tough on long drag up the fields, then ran hard on way back. Second 5km in 22:00, Last 3km in 12:25. Felt good later on, but it was mostly downhill!. Shoes good.
