Sunday Oct 25 #

Trail running 22:00 [3] 3.2 km (6:52 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212

Warm down.

Orienteering 38:30 [3] 5.7 km (6:45 / km) +650ft 5:45 / km
weight:155lbs shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212

Storthes Hall MapRunG race.
Did not get in the circle at #6 and #12 so mis- punched/dsq.
Shame as second fastest is 57 mins. My own fault as wearing shorts meant I didn't want to fight my way through the grot to check I was in the right place. I now realise how little I navigate in the circle rather than just looking for the flag. When there is no flag I come unstuck.

Saturday Oct 24 #

Trail running 54:15 [3] 9.6 km (5:39 / km) +750ft 5:03 / km
weight:155lbs shoes: Hoka Challenger 5

Steady run in the wind/rain.

Thursday Oct 22 #

Trail running 30:00 [3] 5.5 km (5:27 / km) +200ft 5:10 / km
weight:155lbs shoes: Hoka Clifton 7

Warm up/down.

Intervals 15:00 [3] 3.5 km (4:17 / km)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 7

10 X 1 Mon (30 secs) on road. Approx 280-300m per minute.
Calves ok until warm down jog when both calves tightened up.

Tuesday Oct 20 #

Trail running 58:18 [3] 9.8 km (5:57 / km) +1500ft 4:49 / km
weight:156lbs shoes: Hoka Torrent

Luddenden Valley Maprun.
60 min score.
Very slippery and wet underfoot. Paved paths, fields, woods and especially cobbled paths were lethal.
2 mins errors. Pushed as much as I could, but legs tired from yesterday (and Saturday). 4 mins down on CVFR fell runner.

Monday Oct 19 #

Mountain/Fell running 2:35:00 [3] 16.2 km (9:34 / km) +3300ft 7:18 / km
shoes: Hoka Torrent

Rydal Mount.
Fairfield Horseshoe.
Cold , windy and very misty (20m visibility above 400m). Just kept turning left and followed the cairns.
Legs a little heavy, but another long run in the Lakes. Nice.
