Scottish 6 days - Day 6

Some of the most fun orienteering all week. Started steadily and then was ok through to 7, slightly poor line out lost some time to 8 and then was a touch unsettled on 9 leading to my biggest mistake, losing contact and drifting right (+1:30). Then took some aggressive lines and felt I probably got a little lucky to hit some flags but kept contact better at the end before trying to turn it up on the last few. Reckon 30~ was doable with some clean orienteering, quite a few misses or uncertainty in some circles but on the whole stayed way more settled than day 3. Won the day but couldn't claw back the time to Shminty, still really happy with 2nd overall!

Aim for the week was to enjoy it and stay relaxed with the racing. Generally did so and pleased to see that I have the fitness to race for 7 days. Navigation is far smoother and more controlled when I'm relaxed so I'm going to continue with the attitude of just enjoying it for now, really having fun when I'm out in the forest at the moment. Happy to have gotten some good results, especially having 2 early starts, but more pleased to have had a pretty consistent week of good orienteering. Good point to start looking forward from and building for next season.
