Springvale Spirals to see where I'm at. Thought I'd started too hard and found the middle couple quite tough but rallied well and felt strong at the end. Felt right on the limit at times but able to push through which was positive. Lost a few seconds on road crossings but nothing major. 39s faster than Rob Little's record so that's very nice feedback, good to see some consistency through lockdown has paid off. Just a shame not to have done it in the actual race!

Easy, slightly longer one in Riv. Along Stannington side then back along top path from Wyming. First hour with Connor, ticking along nicely, gorgeous day. Knee a little achy in the middle.

Bit of a nightmare. Cycled as my knee was a little sore on waking up. Bike has been a bit funny the last few days, quite a bit of creaking and banging. Was clunking out to the Bower but generally moving ok, then on the road around to Bamford the chain flew off for some reason. Got it back on and got halfway up the hill to Stanage with a lot of lateral movement in the pedals before it all finally gave way and was wobbling all over. Either the bottom bracket has snapped or come incredibly loose for no reason. Bit annoying, but luckily Pat was there to save the day by picking me up.

SYO TOC at Loxley. Pretty awful run, distracted from house moving (again) and work. Some controls hung a bit off and acosted by some reasonably fierce dogs leading to a "discussion" with their owners. One or two small good bits but generally head all over the place and not orienteering properly. Shame as it was a nice evening, but sometimes you just get days like these.

Cruise up to Redmires and back in the drizzle. HRM on my watch is a bit out of whack. Felt good and strong but calves feeling the tarmac a bit. Nice run.
