Note
(injured) (rest day)

Woke feeling someone had thumped my LH hip/buttock (upper glute) with an iron bar.

As 10 days ago. OK. White flag raised / towel being thrown.

Saw osteo re shoulder (climbing injury); but asked him instead to try to work on the knot in my glute, cos I'm in daily 24/7 pain & it's getting really tiring.

unless there's a miracle, no BOK Blast for me. And Jukola, I have decided the most I can do/expect is enjoy the experience of the trip, and then on my return, retire for the season UFN.

Running 16:30 [1] 1.5 mi (11:00 / mi) +25m 10:28 / mi
(injured) shoes: Brookes Ravenna 8

Back slightly better this morning.

Tried a gentle jog - don't even feel like a runner anymore! Fish out of water.

will do the same tomorrow and then decide if i can run Vet50+ at the BOK Blast. Right now I feel like a cripple. But things could change. Right?

Back not too bad afterwards. Calf / hamstring on LHS felt like they were under pressure - oh no.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Still very sore, tight lower back.

Managed a short walk but nothing else, & again lay on bed with hot water bottle on hip. & dozed.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Woke in pain in lower LH back. So climbing was a bad idea, then. Ostepath.

2 cracks to upper back (surprise), one later to lower back. All seemed effective. As expected, told to do fuck all for 48 hours.

Wiped out later - crap weather, told to "stay warm" (it's JUNE.....), so went to bed with laptop & tea & hot water bottle on sore hip/arse and fell asleep 3 times.

Brilliant

Note
(injured)

Still pretty bad pain in hip/buttock. Most disappointing.

Tim Tett down, so went indoor climbing (raining) at UCR . Good, though back nearly spasmed a couple of times, and i was in pain during & after.

Of 3 6b's I tried, I only flashed one! Oh dear. I burned off Tett tho! ;)

Running 15:00 [2] 1.7 mi (8:49 / mi) +30m 8:22 / mi

Hip/buttock a little better this morning, so tried a short jog - wasn't too bad. maybe Liz did help me yesterday.

See what its like tomorrow.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Woke with left buttock / low back in pain. Again.

Liz had a good go at my lower back, which provided some relief. "jogging" a few steps was possible. Not holding out for an overnight miracle recovery yet tho.
