Note
(injured) (sick) (rest day)

Random update. From a non-sportsman.

6 weeks to the day since operation on stomach. they said 6 weeks to recovery . Well, not quite. Not from a sport point of view, anyway.

So i can walk, drive, shop, move semi heavy boxes. Struggling with some aspects of moving. (eg. I can't really carry half a mattress, with a "fit" person at the other end). Great timing, buying a flat - but at least I actually did it (buy it). My stomach is still tender, swollen, and the scar is still quite pink & angry, tho slowly closing up now. 10cm long. I have a belly button I do not recognise. My previous one was literally butchered into oblivion.

I move out of my house (rented) in 10 days time. I've enjoyed it here, despite the silly location. Very relaxed & homely! Will miss it, & the cat, of course.

I went down with a sore throat last night, so am resting for 2 days totally, as I have a gig this Sunday. Playing guitar is the only hobby I'm allowing back, as no way am I climbing (yet).

Running (& climbing) will be another 4-6 weeks - and the run will be a 5 minute jog.

Til then..... back to moving house, and buying Lemsip.

2017 was going so well, or so he thought as he crossed the line in the Lake District in early May for silver in the M50 relays...... and strode up the Old Man in the sun the next day......

What's around the corner..... we never know
