Note
(sick) (rest day)

Despite earplugs, had to move bedrooms at 11:45 pm due to noise above my head (you can imagine what it was). Moved back at 3am and by 4am realised that this is killing me.

Lungs & sinuses filled with infection; washed out. Will try to speak to GP tomorrow.

I have 3 days to decide what I guess is pretty much obvious: get out of here, and move back to my Clifton flat. Evicting one bloke is mean, but I simply can't go on like this; my health & happiness have crumbled and I am bitterly unhappy.

And you thought my previous house was a mistake.........

(sick) (rest day)

Sinuses & lungs bad in night. Green output this morning & taste of blood, confirming that I've developed an inevitable infection following on from the post-Spook w/e "heavy cold". Needed strong painkillers at 3am to get back to sleep.

A mate visited for coffee, and the din from upstairs' "squats, gym moves, cross trainer " etc was so disrupting, we both went up, thence followed a long, heated & emotional (the French can be emotional; I was being very reasonable & factual) confrontation with a very aggrieved young man in his sweaty pyjamas. Very little progress made; he claimed that I was causing his partner huge stress and that I - I!!!! - was "stopping him " from living his life. OMG? Pardon? I've spoken to him twice in 3 months & her, 3 times in 3 months.

Tomorrow, I meet a new tenant for my Clifton flat. Once I draw up & sign his agreement, I cannot legally kick him out for a minimum of 6 months; so I am forced to live in this place for 7 more months. The alternative is to serve notice to the other guy (2 months) and run back to Clifton at the end of January. , thereby cutting my losses here. The prospect of moving house AGAIN is utterly awful, tho.

If anyone reading this thinks I write this stuff for fun, or for attention, or I bring drama onto myself: trust me, I do not. if you're a friend of mine, and you'd like to help with advice, or opinions, please do - I'd appreciate it. I'm in a real state.

What I WANT to be writing is:
"Steady 4 miles on Pur Down - a bit stiff, but generally OK".

Note
(sick) (rest day)

Virus moving into sinuses again, like 3 weeks ago, with associated lung pain on inflation.

gotta love this, eh. I was so worried the Spook weekend could make me ill - I never stood a chance, & now am paying the price. All w/e activities cancelled.

Should I just retire? Oh, I already did. To "live the dream".

I can tell you what sort of "dream" I'm "living" this autumn - it begins with an "N".

Note
(sick) (rest day)

Cold easing after 9 hours in bed with many meds.

Woken (this often happens) from 2am til 2:20 by footsteps from the flat above. (no inter floor soundproofing AT ALL). They're "cool young urbanites", so live a "24/7" kind of "lifestyle". Woo-hoo.

This is the main reason I'm not happy in this flat. What should I do?

When I'm ill, of course (which, to be fair, is about 75% of the time these days), i need sleep more than ever. Ear plugs don't work well, as you can feel the steps as much as hear them - the floors bow & creak.

Another PhilFail, of course. I'm getting quite good at this. But my failures do seem to be lucrative, and this will prove no exception.

But I have plans to escape. I've always got a plan.
