Note
(injured) (rest day)

Was going to jog but not prepared to risk it.

Hour's walk, including some shuffling/jogging in trail walking shoes, but not risking anything now.

Note
(injured)

Indoor roped climbing with Clio, at UCR.

Went very well - felt great. even flashed a 6b & a 6b+ (gasp). OK.

Calf fine. Hurty ring finger joint on RH. if that's it, then I'm doing well.

Roll on Monday.

Swimming 23:00 [3] 0.7 km (32:51 / km)
(injured)

Swim in Kingswood pool (1st time) - was OK. >30 mins in the pool but with a few rests after 4-6 mini lengths.

did 60% crawl, 25% backstroke, & 15% breaststroke . Told to avoid breaststroke if possible, so.........

Was miles better than last time when i was ill / hungover. In 3 sessions, from being utterly hopeless at crawl & backstroke, I can now pretty much get up & down the pool. I need to stick at this. For the sake of my back & core, if nothing else.

Nice to get out of breath!

Running 13:10 [1] 2.18 km (6:02 / km) +33m 5:37 / km
(injured) shoes: Brookes Ravenna 8

another slow jog. stressful. Calf MUST NOT re-injure, so close to Spain trip. But I feel I ought to be trundling, to rehab it.

early signs are that osteopath has done a good job. Back feels pretty OK. touch wood.

Note
(injured)

Indoor climbing / bouldering at TCA. where I re-injured my calf 3½ weeks ago, ending any chance of starting the JK.

All good this time; didn't try the circuit moves that tore the calf , but generally OK. Dodgy shoulder better than before (I've finally started the rehab - only 7 months after injuring it). Calf OK. A bit of prep for next week's trip to Spain.

Then Osteopath - another fairly brutal session. Hoping this leads to lower back / SI / hip settling down.. would be about time. In which case, post-Spain, I can really start running again.

I can but dream.
