Running 52:24 [3] 11.0 km (4:46 / km) +82m 4:36 / km
shoes: Brookes Ravenna 8

Steady Begbrook - frenchay - UWE - stoke park run - cold / rain: helly, hat , buff, gloves, SPOOK O top, grim.

Need new trainers. FFS!

Note: RH elbow bloody bad this morning - just before a climbing (bouldering) holiday - great. Make it into an O training camp instead? with occasional bouldering?

Back bad this morning too.

S&C 1:00:00 [3]

Indoor bouldering at Bloc, with Lynne, hard sesh, did lots of reds together & (with beta) my first ever blue! I could not repeat it, but only tried once to repeat it.

RH inner elbow / forearm a bit grumbly, how boring. who knows what that could be.

Good tho. 3 mins of planks (ouch) at end. I am so weak & lack core.
6 PM

Running 32:59 [4] 7.06 km (4:40 / km) +104m 4:21 / km
shoes: Brookes Ravenna 8

Pacey run as cold & shorts wasn't a good idea! Tried to run in the sunlit parks.
Eastville parkrun-esque

A few accelerations as i went along, just because. Hoped to break 30 mins for 4 miles & reached that point in 29:36

LH thigh a bit annoying. More rehab needed.

Orienteering 1:28:54 [4] 12.68 km (7:01 / km) +386m 6:05 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Mudclaw 265 Blue

Determined to "do" a Southern Champs course in the FoD out of bloody mindedness.

Changed mind re. New Beech at last minute, as know it too well. Found Lydney Park 2010 M45L, which i apparently came 5th in 73mins , Feb 2010.

Parked near no 18, and missed finish field. Started at no 18. route to no 19 total brambles - awful. Went round paths. Map showed my 2010 route and sadly this influenced me masses, not really taking different routes. Brambles near no 8 & 9 biblical. Just - no!!!!

Many signs saying "private woodlands - do not enter" & "shooting may be in progress" . Disturbed dozens of pheasants. Didn't feel very comfortable. Was not wearing BOK gear! ;-)

the long leg took me about 11-12 minutes, i think Clive may have done it sub-10 in 2010.

Generally a horrible experience but good training & thighs, whilst not perfect, held up fine with the 386m of up & down.

Good run over Stoke park in fantastic sunshine. one segment effort, & kept pace up around that. Thighs were mercifully much improved. Let's hope it stays that way now, please.

Having watched world XC champs all day (Denmark) - which was excellent & highly recommended.

Steady chatty stoke park run with Tim.

DOMS in thighs still a problem, but is it DOMS? it comes on WHEN i'm running. And only since my virus (3 weeks ago). Just...... wrong / odd. And effing annoying. WHY?
