S&C (Bouldering) 1:15:00 [3]

Packed up gite & went bouldering at Buthiers, where I managed to scrape my way up a few blues & one red, which was a highlight, and effing hard! (see facebook). My fingertips! Orange warm up circuit was lovely - but from 2b to 3b, rather "easy" (except felt tricky!)!. am learning so much about climbing on this trip.

Good day. Now at AirBNB in Nemours for last 3 nights. Heh ho. Can't see me running much more in France......

Friday Apr 12 #

S&C (Bouldering) 1:00:00 [3]

Back to climbing today. Fun day out at 95.2. With LIz, Lynne & Matt.

Managed 3 reds & 2 blues, having earlier failed to move on a ghastly orange. this is due to no fat or lard or weight on my arse. (you have to shift weight onto & over your foot - no chance).

Good day. A run? NO THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Note
(sick) (rest day)

After an utterly hideous night (3:30am - "do we get Phil an ambulance now or wait til the morning & drive him to the hospital?), wiped out totally, had to spend all day resting & I mean bed rest in the main.

What is wrong with me? able to start eating small amounts later.

Wednesday Apr 10 #

7 PM

Running 30:40 [3] 602.0 km (3 / km) +45m 3 / km
(sick) shoes: Innovate Terraclaws

Spent day sightseeing at the Vaux le Vicomte - huge, amazing place where Lynne said they filmed a lot of Versailles the series.

Nice run when I got back, tho stomach ache (peanuts?) had already started. through foret, up a hill, down, a quick 4:20km, then in dire need of the loo.

Evening became utter misery as stomach ache worsened, nausea, pain, hard "rock" in my stomach, went to bed, curled up, things got worse, medicated myself, tried to be sick at 3:30am, failed, Liz got an hour sleep & I got barely more.

8-10 hours of utter fucking misery - why? similar to Toulouse - WHY????????

12 PM

S&C 1:15:00 [3]

Fairly easy day bouldering in Hautes Plaines with Liz, sending a load of yellow problems & then finishing with a couple of oranges - steep - hurt my arm slightly, a bit of a pain. New climbing shoes OK (bought yesterday).

Still gutted re, losing my fave pair :-(

Monday Apr 8 #

12 PM

Running 1:01:11 [4] 10.32 km (5:56 / km) +150m 5:32 / km
shoes: Innovate Terraclaws

Not a good day. My climbing shoes (only started using them for 3 weeks), were nowhere to be seen this morning. searaching everywhere. back to crag, to shops , etc etc. nothing. I can only conclude that some scally swiped them yesterday. Very pissed off by this. Very.

Back to gite alone & went for another terrain run with same Larchent map but also the extension with no paths. turned Rh ankle but not badly (but can't turn it again). really put in some effort & also found the technicality tricky - all good.
Bit of a burst at the end.

Decathlon (& biggest Carrefour in the world) later to BUY NEW CLIMBING SHOES.
Sunset quick boulder at L'Elephant to check out new shoes. 75euro. They'lll do (they'll have to), what a pisser.
