Sunday Nov 24 #

11 AM

Orienteering race 32:48 [4] 5.31 km (6:11 / km) +158m 5:23 / km
shoes: VJ Integrators

BOK Blaise green course, 4.5km/ 165m , 3rd, 32:48

trundled round, Chris Kelsey (1 minute man) beat me on one leg as my path was windey, but I then got away v quickly. A bit confused at 9 (where to turn off?), & Clive had moaned about that too, & TBF i was faster than him on that leg.

Miles down; just getting round reasonably will do for today thanks. A new Lithuanian pipped Clive for the "win" - Clive & I know Blaise so well, it's barely a fair O comp.

result - new Lithuanian:

Saturday Nov 23 #

(rest day)

Unticking "ill" box , as my sinus & lung irritations are now trivial.

20 days! oh the joy. Hopefully, that's that.

DOMS less bad than the other day. Progress.

Friday Nov 22 #

10 AM

Climbing (Bouldering) 1:00:00 [3]

Sinuses still not good, sore, sneezing etc

Steady sesh at TCA, v sociable (Facebook posts will show), much fun had by all. Hope I've not tweaked my RH forearm on the very first move..... hmm!

First climb since the last fateful day on Kalymnos, nearly 3 weeks ago :'-(
4 PM

Running 15:20 [3] 3.23 km (4:45 / km) +16m 4:38 / km
shoes: Brooks Ravenna 10

horrid dark run to see if legs worked, etc. All seemed oK, but after climbing I felt beaten up.

Glad i went, I'll rest tomorrow & do Blaise sunday. then see................

Thursday Nov 21 #

(sick) (rest day)

DOMs in thighs! I mean, really!?!?! Good grief.

Still pretty sneezy / snuffly & wheezy. rest day.

Wednesday Nov 20 #

11 AM

Running 12:31 [2] 2.49 km (5:02 / km) +10m 4:56 / km
(sick) shoes: Brooks Ravenna 10

Slow jog starter to see how things are.

Legs & weight seems fine, and felt zippy-ish considering, but on return, felt light headed, dizzy , and breathless / weak.

Long way to go?

Tuesday Nov 19 #

needing air, an hour's walk on Stoke park, bumped into our very own Chairman!

Still seriously unhappy about the band situation.

Sinuses still painful during night, & cough still a bit there / wheezing. I think the southern champs will be too far too soon for me. Shame.

Monday Nov 18 #

(sick) (rest day)

Still "cloudy" lungs & sinuses, but it's going finally, I am sure.

No Lemsips yesterday. A first! Still on inhalers. Weaning myself off Nytols so nights are not fun.

Free from the big band, at last? nearly 7 years - gone, cos of a megalomaniac git and a nasty badly timed illness.
