12 PM

Orienteering race 59:19 [5] 10.0 km (5:56 / km) +250m 5:16 / km
shoes: Innov8 MudClaw 300 2019

TVOC Chiltern Challenge, Hambledon, 8.2km /

Good run, small misses on occasion, notably no 13 where not quite accurate enough on compass & pacing led to a 1:00 - 1:30 near circle lost, & lost me the M55 win

Last race for BOK ?! Was great to go, despite the hectic craziness of the past week / 2 days. Well done Jules!

no garmin/strava - no idea where it is, whatever.

Times without mistakes interesting - time to give way to Jules now?

Note

D Day. Up at 6am to clear & clean my flat & leave Linden House after 3.75 years.

Ended up being a 12 hr day & arrived at Liz's 7pm for microwave meal & red wine; passed out on sofa cushions by 10pm.

Friday May 21 #

Note

Spending all day clearing my flat completely.

Went to an Elton John tribute act in the evening which was highly entertaining but not conducive to sleeping afterwards. Have really missed music & nights out.

Knee / upper calf pain etc from 2 days ago not there, hurrah.

Back to clearing up & packing. No more sport til I've moved out now (saturday). one more trip to the tip, and one more carload to Clifton garage. Traffic bad & I started feeling really tired..... a tough week.

Climbing (Trad) 1:00:00 [3]

Two trips with Robyn: afternoon to Blaise, where we did two routes including John Fitch's (remember him? Westbury harriers / my ex landlord / in BOK 1993 - 1997) first E1,, at Lover's Leap. Was ace. Led both routes. Facebooked.

Later we met at Avon gorge new quarry where Robyn properly burned me off. A 6c, or E3 6a in old money, i was pathetic! No chance!

Glad we got out before th storms hit. Had done one big trip to the garage earlier.

Orienteering 50:15 [4] 7.83 km (6:25 / km) +215m 5:39 / km
shoes: Innov8 MudClaw 300 2019

Blaise, Blue course (6.3km / 250m) from last month, as training. Did 50:15, so a little slower (90secs) than Clive, but fine (paths v muddy & not flat out as....) - RH hamstring / leg (inside) troubling pain that didn't get worse, as I ran. May be from so much lifting & carrying, or maybe the Black Down tussocks tweaked me a little. Annoying tho. Dammit.

No errors really. I was also at Blaise to check out the state of Lover's Leap for climbing tomorrow, so veered off (stopped watch ) en route to no 12 to see (it looked good).

Routegadget - long leg took me about 12 mins I think.

Note
(rest day)

Not sure these should be listed as "rest" days.

One big car load of stuff to the storage unit, plus filling of boxes & more sorting, clearing out flat. Freecycling stuff. I have all week.
