Did the workout of the day from spartanrace. I warmed up with a 2 mile run ending above race pace in the last half mile. Followed by strength training (legs mostly) and then I was supposed to run another 1-2 miles at race pace but ended up only doing 0.2 more having to go (previous engagement).

25 burpees, 50 lunges, 5 pullups, 50 squats in succession...before getting back on the treadmill
Starting this training log in Afghanistan, kind of tricky. Too bad I left my heart rate monitor at home. Moving to Cambridge, MA soon and looking forward to getting back into orienteering (it's been about 8 years, though I have kept the fitness up thanks to the Army :). Too bad it's too dusty to run outside here in Shindand (that's if you don't mind the 100+ temperature and constant 30 knot winds)
