Run (Run #1) 2:40:00 [3] 17.0 mi (9:25 / mi)
rhr:54 weight:117lbs shoes: Altra Superior 3.0

I initially felt great. did 10 miles in 90 minutes with hills on trails and very rocky roads. then I took a gel. I had got it at Tim Olsen's retreat so wanted to try it. big bad no no. my stomach was so fucked up. I got nauseous and had piercing abdominal pain on and off. I struggled to get the last 4 miles in. it was bad. I pretended I was at like mile 80 in a 100 and this is what I'd have to deal with. So last few miles were 9:45. NEVER ever will I take a gel again.

Warmed up; ran 8:40 pace at 4% grade for 2miles and then 7:40 pace for 2 miles. I know it said 15 minutes but i was so close to 2 miles each time, I couldn't resist. ha! then jog easy.

yoga & core 1:00:00 [3]

I did hot yoga (on my balcony for 30 minutes!) and core for other 30 minutes. Legs a little sore today but a good sore. I'm excited to see how marathon goes. I think I can break a 3:30 marathon. that's my new goal. =) I know I can't PR. My paces aren't there. it's OK. depending on how Sean Obrein goes, maybe i'll work on PR for next year.
