Trail running warm up/down 25:00 [3]
shoes: Salomon S-Lab Sense 4 Ultra SG

I decided to give the Dirtbag Runners group a chance tonight. I was told it's a mix group of abilities, but all I saw was the elite: CO, Carbon, Slice, Andy Reed, Adam Campbell and a bunch of other very fit looking athletes....hmmm, this will be interesting...;)
We met at the Nordic Centre and started with a warm up....25min of mostly uphill running, following Adam Campbell's pace. Great!

Trail running hills 30:00 [4]

For some reason, we could not find a decent hill in the Rockies(!) and finally settled on a wide gravel path in the Meadow. Everyone shed their layers and we started 1min up and 1min down repeats. I was at the very back, trying to keep a consistent pace for the whole 30min.

By the time we finished, it was already dark so we put on our headlamps and headed back. I could really feel the muscles in my legs on this flat trail and I bet I will hurt tomorrow. Great workout!

Trail running 49:12 [2] 5.7 km (8:38 / km) +139m 7:42 / km
shoes: Salomon S-Lab Sense 4 Ultra SG

Easy run with the Trail Culture at the Nordic Centre. I stuck at the back of the pack with a slower runner, to keep him company. We're running with headlamps now, by the time we get back to the parking lot, it's really dark.

A relaxing hike up Sulphur Mountain with Amik. Not as busy as I thought it would be, the weather was perfect too and the 360 degree view from the top spectacular! We opted to take the gondola down (free) as I didn't want to put too much pressure on my toes. We finished the day with a drive up to Norquay, where we enjoyed equally amazing views with the setting sun.
