Dirtbag run
We did 6 continuous hill repeats, with 1min break in between. There were looong! Started at the Hoodoos parking lot, gradual up then took a side, steep trail up and slight uphill along the top, then down back to the parking lot. I power-hiked the steep section.

Trail Culture run.
What a gorgeous evening! We took the Loki trail, out and back. It was dusted with snow but not slippery. On the way back I turned on my headlamp, I guess it's that time of year again....It was one of those runs that I could go on forever :)

Wandering Moose race in Kelowna (Myra Canyon)
The day was gloomy, cold and rainy but the course made up for it.
It was mostly single track. Lots of long uphills, that I power hiked but I run every flat and flatish section I could. The was also a long and very technical downhill, where I slowed down a bit as I was cramping up in my stomach. That's where two women passed me...oh well;) Then we got to the bottom of the canyon and followed a creek. We had few crossings there, I was going to use rocks to cross but at one of them a woman was just standing on a rock and deciding on her next move....I gave her few seconds and then couldn't wait any longer - I just got my feet wet. The next crossings were much faster:)
We were warned about the last 3 climbs, right before the finish line. I did not expect that! Almost vertical, not even on a trail! It was brutal! And one right after the other.
Amik was waiting for me few hundred meters before the finish, cheering me on.
I am pretty happy with the result, wanted to finish close to 2h30min. The race course was awesome and venue was great. Kids played in the adventure park while we raced so they weren't bored.
So convenient to have my Mom here, what a great way to end the weekend: being pampered and fed:)
